This is a translation for information purposes. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

What data we process

The data you give us when you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, email or through the form: name, phone, email, vessel name and location, and anything you include in your message, plus the data needed to provide and invoice our services.

The form on this website does not store or send data to any server: it only prepares a message that you choose to send by WhatsApp or from your own email.

Purposes and legal basis

• Answering enquiries and preparing quotes: steps taken at your request before a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Providing the services and managing the client relationship: performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Invoicing, accounting and tax obligations: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
• Keeping the website secure through server logs: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).

We do not profile you or take automated decisions, and we do not send marketing without your consent.

How long we keep data

Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept as long as needed to answer them and for no more than one year. Client data is kept during the relationship and afterwards for the legally required periods (for example, six years for accounting records and four years for tax purposes).

Recipients

We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law (for example, the Spanish Tax Agency). Service providers acting as processors may access it: web hosting (GoDaddy), email and accounting.

If you write to us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta group) will also process your data under its own privacy policy. The site loads its font from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.), so your browser sends your IP address to Google; Google states it does not use cookies for this service.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the USA) with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to hi@distinctyp.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
